We focus to supports young people to pursue either of two pathways; self-employment or employment with appropriate economic empowerment. SONYO utilizes market-based approaches to support youth to build and grow market-driven enterprises, skills and knowledge. Such approaches include identifying existing, or establishing new, individual or group enterprises; supporting them to register and develop strong governance structures; providing training on core life-skills (e.g. leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution and effective communication) and enterprise development (e.g. business planning, networking, and marketing); linking youth to government and private sector resources; and civic/public education. SONYO undertakes advocacy, communication and information sharing roles to promote the aforementioned activities. Under this department includes career counselling and internship programs, linkages with TVET and vocational trainings
